Solid ground from 1993

The next change was in the rythm section again. Bass player Henk Asma got more and more things at hand after he retired, and so in Februari 1993, his place was taken by the third and last ryhtm man of the former Stevedore Jazzband, José Baars. Up until today this was the last change in the backline, suggesting the strength and trust of this ryhtm section.

At a gig at the jazzfestival "Swinging Scheveningen" the band plays superbly on the mainstage in front of the Kurhaus for a large audience. Recordings of this gig are transformed into the first official recording of the band, a cassette called "Live at Swinging Scheveningen" (TOF-10194). The popularity of the Old FAshioners in Scheveningen is illustrated by the fact that the band, having played only for two hours in Schevingen the year after, sold out all these cassettes.
