The Old Fashioners go USA
We got headlines in our local newspaper, the Westfries Dagblad on Monday 18 January 1999.
The year before the band made a CD called 'Don't forget our Monday date' inspired by
the day the band always has it's rehearsals, Monday, and by the fact the band were
playing this Earl Hines song. George Buck, based in New Orleans and the man behind the
GHB record label, and the Jazzbeat magazine found out about the CD. And after some short
negotiations, the band agreed with George he would release the CD in the United States.
A wonderful present for the band 25th anniversary in 1999.
BCD 414, there it is.
